Default Servonaut Gearbox for Knight Hauler

Anyone tell me which Servonaut gearbox and mount to buy foe my Knight Hauler? Also where in the States can I buy them from. Looking for realistic scale speeds.

Hi,

Gardentrucking.com is selling their ESCs. Maybe they can also order gearboxes.

I'm using the GM32U370 motor together with the S20 resp. E20 ESC and it's an absolute smooth and perfect driving. Absolute silence if the truck starts. No whistling from the ESC or motor.

Thanks for the info. I looked at Garden Trucking and didn't find any of the Servonaut GM32U370s there. From looking at other RC Truckers it does seem to be the GM32U370 that's most popular. Now if I could only find a vender that sells & ships them to the USA.

What is it with the servonaut gear motors they are nothing special. You can get gearmotors from any where and you can make a motor mount your self with little tooling needed.

GM32U370 GM=gear motor 32=32mm motor 370=370RPM

Hi RoadFlyer,

Just contact Servonaut directly, maybe they can ship it directly or they can name a vendor for the motor in the US.

I don't know which ESC you are using, but the Servonaut motors are especially adjusted to their ESCs.

Motors from different vendors often have different characteristics and so they show different behaviour if they work so they are not comparable based on technical values only.

It seems that the GM32U370 is set up with the TM72. Quote from their homepage: "5-pole balanced rotor for silent running, good start-up and reduced brush sparking". The TM72 motor is absolute great. I used it in my truck with the Tamiya gearbox (now replaced by the GM32U370) and it's also in my crawler and in a CR-01. It has a very smooth start and you can move the truck millimetre accurate and it's very powerful.
