Ill have some video soon. All i really have to say about building this is get the model you want to build, then take measurements of the what your going to build. Then get batteries, motors and esc's and receiver that will fit. This 1/50 scale is a little bit on the small size.

Well unfortunately the 2 servos i salvaged from an old rc sabre helicopter that crashed and burned, wasn't compatible with the GWS 4 channel receiver. Other i get some GWS servos and lift the rock ripper and lift the front blade. I was also thinking of getting firgelli actuators and be able to have a tilt on the front blade, but i wouldn't have a ripper control.
I got to say this dozer has some push!!!
Click the picture it a video.

I also need to make a skid plate chassis so the guts dont spill out, it was necessary to cut the bottom out to make some room for the battery and esc and the receiver.

That's really cool! Makes me want to try and convert a 1/50 diecast construction model so I can run it on my O scale 1:48 shelf layout.

Yeah, i plan on converting a dumptruck and a loader at some point. Its just a little expensive to do this, so far this dozer has cost me $320 but im happy with it so far!

It was tricky but managed to cram everything into the dozer, now i just have to mount the blade to the servos and i should be done!

Well dirt does clog the links, i think ill try running it in potting soil. Got the blade working. Now i just need to make linkage to the ripper. Then some touch up and it will be done.

Yes it is, the hardest think is cramming all the electronics in the dozer.
Thanks for all the complements guys

Well im not digging the servos lifting the blade, i have to hold the channel to keep the blade up or down. So i am thinking of a new approach ill lift the blade with a motor with a screw and nut and another esc.

Ok spent the day looking for micro linear ball drive motors, but they only sell to manufacturing companies, so im out of luck. Time to build my own!

My thoughts are to use a micro motor for micro helicopters tails motors... connect it to a vary small bold the size as the motor shaft and couple it and then couple the bolt with another shaft in a shaft that covers the motor that looks like a hydraulic piston.

Have you considered converting a servo to 360' full rotation, then the esc is built in.
