Default Custom decals with ink jet & paper

I ran across this decal method, i haven't tried it yet, but it looks promising.

Inkjet printer
Cheap printer paper
Valspar gloss clear
Hairdryer

It doesn't seem to look as bright and new as waterslide or vinyl. But it sounds more durable than waterslide.
I probably wouldn't do it on plastic.

Thanks for sharing. Does this method work with the plastic of the Tamiya trucks, & such?
