Any one remember Flatbed Annie and Sweetie Pie: Lady Truckers? Kinda old but I'm watching it now on Netflix.

I don't think it has been mentioned, but if anyone remembers Stoker Ace with Burt Reynolds, there is a pretty cool race car hauler that they used in the movie for the Torkel Chicken pit race car. It is an old school Mack cab over and if I had the skills would love to turn a globe liner and box trailer into a replica of that one.

What about Universal Soldier with Jean Claude Van Damme? There was a wierd looking truck-trailer that refreshed the soldiers.

The other day I forgot to mention the movie ‘Torque’ made in 2004. It may just be about motorcycles and bikers, but in the first five minutes they pay homage to ‘Duel’.

The bikers do a ‘head-on’ with both the 1971 Plymouth Valiant driven by Dennis Weaver and the 1960 Peterbilt 281 driven by Carey Loftin. In response, one of the bikers asks, “What’s that all about?”, while another biker loses control and drops his bike… skidding to a stop at the side of the road.

And then there’s always ‘Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure’. Anyone who has watched that movie should never forget Large Marge, the truck driver; her story is reminiscent of ‘Phantom 309’.

F.Y.I. hulu.com has the entire first season of Movin' On available to watch on HuluPlus. Some conditions do apply, but it's worth it; I think. RCT

Yes, in Terminator 2, there were a couple Freightliners. One chase scene with a black COE Freightliner wrecker, chasing John Connor on his dirt bike, and at the end of the film, another chase scene, with a Freightliner conventional, pulling a trailer full of liquid nitrogen.

Terminator 1 also had an International COE, with a tanker full of gas, that exploded.

Terminator 3 had a large mobile crane chase scene too.

And Terminator 4, also had an old beat up wrecker, fighting the Terminator machines.

Boy, I think there is a trend with the Terminator movies!

There was also a Mack that had railroad wheels on it, in that movie. It was the escape vehicle, from the methane (pig) factory, for Max and the kids.

best thread ever!

maybe i can get some help here then. i remember seeing a movie when i was younger ONE time. it was kind of a knock off of smokey and the bandit. had a red kw T600 pulling a van or reefer, and a mid to late 80s black pontiac trans am or firebird, im pretty sure jason priestly drove the car. there was a scene where they drove the truck on a wooden barge with a tiller motor (gotta love hollywood lol) and drove er....floated it across a lake or something. the water was up to the center of the hub cap on the steers. i can also remember the guy in the car calling running from the cops "highway ballet"

It was THE SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT tv series that was very short lived. He drove a black dodge stealth twin turbo or a Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 (same car). The snowman was supposed to be the son of Jerry Read, and that snow man drove a red t600 kw. And yes the bandit did look like Jason Priestly.
