At least there used to be such information. However, it was written in German and, the last time I saw it, the picture links were dead. I'll try to find the article again.

Sure you're not building a 1:1 grader? I'm not sure what I appreciate the most; your patience or handcrafting skills

Stefan, you'r setting the bar very high now. Those details will make this grader stand out. As mentioned above, is this 1:1??

Thank you Emil, Jack and Dan! Yeah, trying to keep it scale. 3D printing takes you a long way, but you still see the layers. Suppose some careful grinding could take care of that.
Now, machining of the lift cylinder arms has been almost completed. Just need to fill out some shrink holes (and grind out the layered structure ![]() Drilled and reamed to 14 mm. Bushing with a 12° conical hole for an indexing lock pin. The indexing lock pin mechanism (still to be made) will be attached on the rear side of the plate with the "key hole". Cheers! I have always wanted to make a model as close to scale as possible. I'm more oriented towards the mechanical workings and trying to relate that to our scale versions. I know you have a tremendous amount of hidden work, set up, jigs, precision measurements, ect,,,,, but this is really paying off!! Very nice!! An inspiration for me when I think it can't be scaled down.
Looks really really good Stefan !!

Outstanding work!!! What are the extra 2 holes in the covers that you just made for? Could they be for jack bolts to remove the covers with? Just a guess!!!

Thanks very much guys. Yes, Lynn, you are right. Those covers sits quite tightly. The specification says "blade down force capability 11 058 kg (24,457 lb). Don´t think the screws alone would cope with that for a long time (guess the real screws are 1/2 inch dia.). I use M1.6 (about 1/16 ") in the model.
