Great detail, I'm just not steady handed enough to do that...

Thank you, it seems to be going okay, but I'm never completely satisfied with the eyes

I think that every article I've ever read about figure painting has mentioned the difficulty of getting the eyes "right".

Yes, it requires a very small brush and an even calmer hand - I have neither

I know the feeling, I used to paint Warhammer figures and had a special brush just for eyes.
A normal small brush, leave just one hair and cut the others, dip it lacquer to make it stiff and voila, your own eyeball paint brush.
That worked for me 20+ years ago, don't know how I would cope today.

But that aside, the model looks great. The highlights and depths look good
Til lykke med den.

Maybe I should try it out and see if it gets better.

I know the feeling well, half the time even I can't read my own handwriting. Thank God for computers and printers.

I really don't know what you guys are going on about.

I like his eyes, they've seen things.
Too many things. Things that come back when he closes them. Things that come back with certain sounds, smells...
Shell-shocked. War-weary. PTSD.
I think with the expression and eyes you nailed it, he looks perfect hanging out by the Purple Heart sign.

Thank you very much, I hadn't thought of it like that at all
