Really kool Silvio. Looks like the trucks used to deliver supplies to the Chinise fast food joints all over the five boroughs. Gives me some ideas for a furniture straight truck. Keep the pics commin...NICE!

Silvio, Looking good.

Might I suggest that you incorporate some angle on the inside of all you r corners top to sides and front, bottom to sides and front. This will give you more rigidity.

Evergreen 1/4" x .250 angle

As far as the doors go, are they going to be roll-up doors?

If so let me know I have some ideas for that as well.

The ramps that are on the prototype photo can easily be made using brass. And the Tower hobbies (the link above) has the brass and the expanded metal, just do a search on there site for "K+S" and that will bring up the K & S stuff which is all the metals.

Looks good Silvio. I see you have the door panels attached to some thing on each side with a screw it looks like. It is hard to tell from these pictures. My suggestion if you have not already done this. To help the door travel better.

I am not sure what you used to connect the door panels. But do this like the do the real ones and it should work better. connect your doors together and then at each connection you will have a rod that will run in the track.

This should help it run smoother. Of course you want to make sure that the track is completely smooth inside and that the ends of the rods are smooth and beveled.

hmmm that sounds good wait! that may work alot better actuallly! the way i have it now is that the slats are in the middle of each door panel maybe thats whats killing the movement u know, dam, i mgoing to have to get some custom hinges made with a rod piece that sticks out at the end, I think thats gonna do the job perfectly! or! i can buy plastic hinges, n super glue a rod to it, but then hmmm feels like it may fall apart lol but thanks man i will try it!
