Bruder D5 and Bruder Delta conversions

Hey Guys,
I have converted these 2 Bruder toys to RC. I used some of every conversion and made my own based on what I thought would work best based on what would work. I am still working on getting the delta to work 100% but for some reason the lift arm keeps coming down when I raise it. The bucket curls and stays in position. I did modify the servo to be continuous for both but the lift seems to keep falling. does anyone know what might be the issue? I think the BEC might be part of the reason but I am not sure. your ideas would help. I also made a Youtube channel about the life of an RC construction crew. hope you guys like it and can comment on it.

here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJo3DYCm62E&t=8s (edited with new link)

My next conversion is a John deere 7930. I will try and post that build.

thanks again.

I will. I am waiting on my parts to come in from Robotshop. Then I can start taking things apart. I will show step by step.

I did convert the D5 and Delta. I will do a video showing how I made them. for the delta there is a build already you can follow.

O like that you let us know where them pesky locking tabs are mounted at.

Its impossible to know where all of them are without destroying the whole model. hope it helps.

I was looking to follow your lead on the Skid Steer... do you have a wiring diagram. I can piece together a lot of what you did from the RCSparks post, but not all of it. Let me know and great job! =)

Let me draw it up today and I can take some pictures as well so you have reference. Keep in mind I converted the servos to be continuous so that I can have that hydraulic stick movement. only issue is that the arm does not stay in position as it falls from the weight. I am still trying to figure if I need to change the end points or do something different.

Hey Chipsky,

sorry for the delay but here is the layout for the electronics. you might have to reverse one of the motors on your transmitter or the wires to the sabertooth. but other than that its pretty much setup. also, you can make some adjustments on the speed if your transmitter allows for those changes. let me know if you have more questions.

Re: Bruder D5 and Bruder Delta conversions

does anyone have a 3D print or alternative to the tracks for the Bruder D5? I have been looking for something to replace the tracks so that the track had a pin instead of the plastic which the sproket connects with when spinning.

thanks for any help.
