Re: Another Deere in the field
Rob did you use the 210:1 ratio for your steering actuators?
|
Re: Another Deere in the field
I used the 100:1, they are a lil faster and still have good torque. i also cut out more of the frame and removed the "stops" to give more radius

Re: Another Deere in the field
Thank you, are you planning to make your idle wheels movable?
|
Re: Another Deere in the field
No, a lot of work to cut them out, so i use bearing in the bottom of the road wheels, works well, because the road wheels are recess just enough that the bearings stick out slightly from the bottom.

Re: Another Deere in the field
I know exactly what you mean by a lot of work. It took two days but I managed it, and the end result was very satisfying lol. I'm working on leds now. Have you ever taken the top off of the cab before? Ive been trying to figure it out for the longest.

Re: Another Deere in the field
Rob, what type of motors, transmission/gear box, axle, and batteries did you use? Also what is the average run time of your 9620rx?

Re: Another Deere in the field
I am using a 55T motor with a 9t pinion coupled to a r2 tranny. The only space i had was for a 1250mAh 11.1 lipo. I need to take it apart and change the rear diff out to the new diff i bought. When i do, i will take some pic, may do i this wknd. I dont have an accurate run time yet, but all that weight shortens the run time on a hard surface. Haven't tried on carpet, kinda don't want to on carpet, because of the tracks. they are probably gonna throw and slip while driving on carpet as did on my combine. the slippage can be fixed by inserting rods in the spokes of the drive wheels.....just haven't done that yet.

Re: Another Deere in the field
Very cool, Id love to put my 3d printed snow blower on the front of that thing! Nice work looks like it runs very well.

Re: Another Deere in the field
Im currently using a 1550mah 7.4v which I inserted into the radiator to keep the detailed engine look goin. I had no problem with slippage, but I did add rods later on to the main drive wheels to help with pulling of implements on soil.
