Re: Integy axles for Tamiya semi's
Travis,
Thank you for a very enlightening posting on this new product.
Now, when I asked Integy more, I did get that they ~ARE~ manufactured overseas... so if we could contact the maker,...

Re: 8x8 chassis under-guts... anyone tried this?
Thanks Travis,
I wasn't gonna take the 4x4 forum guys word, and they tend to drive their trucks harder (on average) than we do, though we have a few exceptions, eh Joe?
Any chance you could...

Re: Frame catwalk material.
For what its worth...
I'll take a pic of the mesh that I salvaged from a desktop tray in the local Dollar Store, for size reference. But for reference, the diamond mesh is 4 per inch wide, 6 per...

Re: Frame catwalk material.
I also found an eBay dealer...
He sells the pieces for automotive grillework, and I've asked him if he would cut the 6" x 36" pieces into two 6" x 18" sections to save on shipping cost for...

I found a site that had 9" x 10" (I think) sheets of perforated metal, with round holes, square ones, and even hex patterning... and then I ~stupidly dinna mark the damned thing...

Re: Carson Goldhofer Low loader
Other ~stupid~ flaws in the Carson:
The u-bolts for attachment of the axles to the suspension 'leaves' are made of plastic. Start the supplied metal nuts on one, and *SNAP* goes the plastic...

8x8 chassis under-guts... anyone tried this?
Hey...
I was pointed at the Integy site with that nice ladder-chassis, and then thought about their semi axles... and the way they have the bolt-on tranny-caps.
Looking at them, I thought one...

Re: Trucks from the movies
I've got a ~reverse~ mention of a truck here...
Why? Its a model of a Semi used in a movie. Punisher (1989) w/ Dolph Lundgren. He uses it to deliver a bottle of booze to his source, 'Shake'.
As...

I use Hoby-Poxy 2-part stuff, 45 min. set,...

Option #2 : some of that anti-skip floor tape (looks like black emery-paper tape)
Option #3 :...
