Re: Chevy K30 U-haul Maxi-mover 1973-75

Exactly the issue I encountered, there are some on Thingiverse.com, Printables.com and Cults3d.com but none are 100% what you are looking for.
But still many are usable and good opportunity to learn...

But hey, always look at the bright side of things, this is a good excuse for a upgrade  Just...

Re: Scania 112

The last few days have been quite exiting. (And also a bit disappointing)

Re: Hand painted 1/16 figure

I know the feeling, I used to paint Warhammer figures and had a special brush just for eyes.
A normal small brush, leave just one hair and cut the others, dip it lacquer to make it stiff and voila,...

Re: KATO HD308US

It really does, enjoying the little things in life

But sadly nothing RC related happened last weekend as I was hoping. The whole family ended up sick, but thankfully not all at once, and to make...

Re: KATO HD308US

Thanks, popping in here once and awhile to keep up all of the builds going on and get inspirations really helps to keep me from going insane.

And yes, I try to add as many detail as I possibly can...

Re: KATO HD308US

Thanks, why does it always have to be "bigger is better"
For a small contractor it's a good sized machine that is plenty capable.
As for the size, it's just a little too wide to fit a standard dump...

Re: KATO HD308US

The Cabin; as with the undercarriage there is a 6mm steel plate for base and weight, although that might have been a bit much but that's what I've got so that's what I'll start with.
Other than...

KATO HD308US

Well, for the last months there haven't been much activity, or fun.

Re: Scania 112

I came to the conclusion rather quickly that 6x4 would be a simpler solution, or at least forget the lift axle (for now, might revisit it later).
Getting rather excited to see it drive so the...

Re: Scania 112

Well.
The progress for the last few months has been slow with the build, but still some.
Did managed to draw and print fenders for the rear and a simple bumper....

Re: Scania 112

Thanks guys.

The springs are just generic 5mm ones, bought 10x off Aliexpress.

Re: Scania 112

Finding a toy and convert would be a lot easier, yes. But I'm obsessed with keeping things within the same scale. Also the main purpose of this, it's supposed to end up as a birthday/christmas...

Re: Scania 112

Re: Scania 112

Re: Scania 112

Challenging, yes. But rewarding.
I've only had my printer for a year and so far only run 4 rolls though it. My biggest problem on anything hobby related is availability, there is no one locally...

Re: Scania 112

Not much has happened here the last few months, life keeps getting in the way.

I wasn't quite sure about the strength of the cab, afraid it was too thin, so I did a little stress test.

The test...
