You're not alone though.... A couple of years ago I managed to static zap the input board on my Monoprice clone of a Wanhao D6. Now I never touch any of the electronics on that machine without first touching the metal frame - since it's grounded.
It was completely my own fault, was measuring voltage and the probe slipped and touched 2 pins...
But hey, always look at the bright side of things, this is a good excuse for a upgrade Just not yet.

Wow, it's been way too long since last update...
The progress here has been really slow for the last few months, but slow progress is still a progress...

A bunch of small upgrades, mostly cosmetics but also a few functional ones.
Biggest upgrade is the dumping mechanism, it now tips a descent load without any help although it really struggles in the beginning. Haven't ruled out hydraulic but would like to try out few options first.

We've had some amazing weather here lately.

Must have done around 100 trips in the last few days.
With increased weight comes new challenges.
Increased load on the front tires, especially with sharp turns, managed rip the tires (glued) off the rims.
I also ended up breaking some teeth in the middle axle, nothing catastrophic, managed to put the diff back together in a fully locked state which has had a little effect on the turning radius.
have also been thinking about this option

I'm off, back out in the sun while it last to do some more testing...
