Re: stupid question....

I'm not sure if tool batteries have a voltage cutoff in them or the tool itself, but sure it is possible. More voltage will shorten a motor's life, but if you are using stock tamiya cans they are...

Re: Bruder Tractor conversion

They are expensive since they are from Germany, but check out CTI Thor15. You can cram several of these in a Bruder conversion. You should read the German forums if you want to see a lot of tractor...

Re: GM futurliner

I saw the Futurliner in 2006 when Ron Pratt bought it that year and it is pretty spectacular. I would think there is some literature out about them. There were only 12 made as they were a show...

Re: Scania side lights help

I have seen an acrylic block machined square to fit through the body to sit slightly proud or flush. The hole for the LED was drilled at 90 degrees for indirect lighting. Then the block was then...

Re: Arrow board trailer build

Nice work, the arduino is slick. I saw a video screen build on a german forum and they apparently use more sophisticated road sign trucks than we do. I see these arrows all over AZ construction...

Re: Light system options?

Check CTI (http://www.cti-modellbau.de) modules. AFV carries them.

Re: cutting a led

I have done it. Some considerations: the stated angle of the beam for the LED you have is focused as lens by the rounded end of the LED. It will be all over the place if you sand that off. Might...

Re: Chris-Craft COBRA

Travis- Did you track down the West epoxy and some lightweight glass? Check RCgroups section on boats. There are several guys there building woodies that win awards at Toledo show. Really...

Re: odd schoolbus

Your roof reminds me of planking a wood boat. Have you epoxied the wood or will you? Very nice sculpting with the animals. :)

Re: R/C wood chipper

That is pretty sweet. I saw a harvester that could shred grass on a German forum and I think it spun at 10000rpm. Been a year or two since I saw it. Scale on that looks to be larger at 1/12 or...

Re: RCT&C banner

Not on mine today either. Only thing I don't like about the banner is the sizing on iPad viewing, though I haven't tried it in a very long time since it always required zooming on every page.

Re: Kverneland RB 100 - 1/16

Glad you are still finding time for hobbies Anders. I think your work is fantastic and the cut parts certainly made the replication easier than by hand. Excellent project and detailing!

Re: drop axle stearing question?

Could it be a dummy steer? Just allow friction to turn the wheels and have it spring centered? Maybe some caster angle to help it track as well?

Re: odd schoolbus

Love this unique build idea. I have been very impressed with wood as a medium on models so I look forward to seeing this one come together. :)

Re: Pete 379 Flat Top 48"

If you don't need it to output a lot of light, check out fiber optic; looks lit just not a lot of light.

Re: Combining tail/brake lights with signal lights.

I'm interested in this as well for a Rastar conversion. So the basic idea is the controller for the turn signal cycles at 1Hz when activated and the brake is a separate circuit right? So combined...

Re: New Ray Yale forklift

I don't recall seeing one on RCT&C, but have seen them over the years on other forums. You can upgrade the guts to hobby grade, but the mast performance still leaves something to be desired on the...

Re: Pete 379 Flat Top 48"

I agree, I like neutral brake and not the cruise control. Maybe just a matter of what you are used to.

Re: Servanaut Items for King Hauler

I have the S20 and like it a lot. I would also get the M20+ :). I run a 3s lipo pack. I love lipo and it isn't that much different than NiMH just careful maintenance like any high performance...
