Re: Telemetry data of hydraulic pressure

The arduino method is looking appealing. Could also be used to adjust/calibrate the output if needed.

As far as boost converters, Dimension Engineering...

Metal Hobi MH-245 kit as Hitachi ZX245 excavator

Here's a build thread of the Metal Hobi MH245 excavator kit. It's the 3 valve mono boom in 1:14.5. Had the 7 valve split boom with plow been available that would have been my choice. This is my first...

Re: Telemetry data of hydraulic pressure

Your DC-16 is absolutely beautiful. The 3D sticks you've added look like a factory option. Very clean integration. Been casually looking for a used Jeti. They're pretty rare in the US and when they...

Re: Telemetry data of hydraulic pressure

@trilliwilli:

Thanks for the link to the Brixl sensor. Ofcourse the Germans already have such a thing! I dug through their transmitter manual and it states there are transmitter settings for...

Telemetry data of hydraulic pressure

Been window shopping for a fresh radio and see Jeti has a ton of telemetry options. Battery voltage/current/capacity are straightforward as are motor RPM and temp since the airplane guys all use such...

Re: Looking to get an excavator

I have no knowledge of any machines, but I share your sentiment. I'm skeptical of the Asian import machines. Euro machines are overkill (but beautiful) and difficult to buy. I'm hesitant to blindly...

Re: 1/10 Mining Dump Truck

What's the learning curve like on the pulse TIGs? Seams "easier" than tradition TIG welding, but looks can be deceiving when watching experts.

Re: Less help now a days

still pop in regularly, but none of my projects ever got finished, so I'm far from knowledgeable. Been focusing on 1:1 scale stuff before I return to models.

Re: Liebherr R926compact

The hybrid construction of the boom is really nice. All the hydro/electrical is beautifully packaged too.

I love the zero swing excavators.

Re: Double ended cylinders? Self centering controls?

Nope. It has servo steering in it... and it's still not finished.

I'll bet an arduino could be made to do this, but that's beyond my abilities

Re: Is this hobby dying in the US?

I hadn't really considered this hobby to have fully caught on in the US/Canada. Several small vendors and a couple bigger vendors, but mostly it feels underground. The high price is likely part of...

Re: Need help with fittings please.

Have you checked out SMC? I think the push locks are physically larger than barb fittings with a sleeve. A lot of guys here use barb fittings, although in metric.

Re: Welding help

I've had good luck with a butane torch, flux and solder. Usually plain electrical solder, but sometimes silver solder. Brass and thin steel only.

Re: MCMaster-Carr

My first stop to see if a part I need exists. If McMaster doesn't have it no one will.

Also, free cad models of most components.

Re: International Genetics Construction

It's alive! Well, except for the telescope, and 4wd.

Re: International Genetics Construction

Made some progress on the TH407C telehandler. Before paint it was up and running as 2WD/4WS without the telescope. I was having trouble with load holding when the pump slowed down, so no video. I...

International Genetics Construction

A fictional company from the Jurassic Park series. Why the INGen name? I like the looks of the logo. All of vehicles are barely finished or hardly started. What better place to dump a pile of...
