I was talking about miles a mechanical motor driven full time in the city.... as in 500,000 miles. not $500,000 LOL


Last I checked a Mack E6 will cost me about $1,600 in liners,pistons,bearings...

the truth to the matter is that older Mechanical trucks had less problems, had less down time and parts cost way less. the only down side was the motors needed rod,cam,main bearings sooner. A basic...

I just did a 450 mile round trip in my 78' Mack. Started out this morning with some air pressure troubles. A vice grip and some electrical tape got me back running with air pressure..then A $15...

It all depends on what you want channel wise. I only use 4 channels.

1 speed control
2 steering
3 transmission shifting ( 3 position switch )
4 dump bed ( 3 position switch )

I have simple rc4wd 4 channel radios that I like because it's a pistol grip with steering knob. I also have a spectrum dx6 that I have yet to use . Some people like stick radios and all the channels...

It's sad what the government has forced diesel engine mfg to do and in return what it cost the end user. I really scratch my head at how big fleets can afford so many pos new trucks and turn a profit...
