Re: Newbie - Trailer Axles Help Needed

L&S,

Tamiya semi axles are all 5mm, as they take the 1150 bearings. And a few others use 5mm shafts. Don't remember offhand though.

Any particular reason?

Re: Another smoker question

Well...

I've not got any experience with smoker units, but have read a bunch of the tanker notes on theirs. Running too little fluid can be as bad as running too much, apparently.

The smoker is...

Re: Where can i get ribbed aluminium or steel sheet?

Well...

I just watched the Tamiya time-lapsed assembly of the #56326 RC Container Trailer "Maersk", and looked at the specs. At a width of 188mm (18.8cm) and would be the aluminum angle at the...

Re: charging battery

Buzzy,

Good way to avoid accidents: stick a tag on the opposite from the main label, and note the slow and fast charge rates, and any other data that may not be on the label (like NiCd/NiMH, cell...

Re: Where can i get ribbed aluminium or steel sheet?

Guys,

If the aluminum is being used on the sides of a cargo box, and not an open bed, why not use styrene sheet with that sticky-chromed application? I'll bet one of the styrene companies makes...

Re: S&M Trucking open for bizz nizz !!!

Mario,

Are you only running ONE 32 guage wire inside the sleeve?

I know the solution, and you're gonna kick yourself - don't use heat-shrink. Use some casing from a solid-wire a few guages up,...

Thats one thing a lotta guys don't realise, that despite the 'suspension' these things have, there is still enough vibration to loosen nuts and other fittings.

Many hate the Tamiya...

Re: Bullbar for the MAN truck.

According to www.TamiyaUSA.com...

The MAN TGX 6x4 XLX & 4x2 XLX both use the standard 56506 stock bullbar.

BUT, you want sturdy, get the aftermarket ones, as their uprights are aluminum, where...

Well, its officially out:

Then again, ignore Tamiya's MSRP, as only an idiot buys it for that (or someone desperate to be the first to...

Re: Banned? What in the h&ll...

Thanks PFB.

I hate to just 'slip around' a ban by making a new account, as it seems sneaky. I know a few that do it repeatedly, and are literally 'banned on recognition' (like Ken Myers, and...

If any of ye come across an R/C tanker (though he may do trucks now too) named George Freeman, ask him to contact me. Wondering if he's still alive.

And also wondering if he ever...

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)

Joe, you are the demon from the hot inner depths!

Seeing those makes me wish I could win some serious dinero. One of the D40's or 50's first, then a front-bucket loader to fill it.

Then again,...

Re: wedico customer service

Fordie,

Looks like you could just buy a single side-panel, and bend it to 'wrap around' the front, or if you want more length, chop the single in half, and mate it to your existing sides.

Its...

Thats a good idea. Mebbe even combine the two, both mowing the lawn under it, THEN putting the tarp down? Plus having a mowed section around the outer edge might keep the younguns a bit back,...

Re: tundra6x6 with Trailer!!

Kranky,

Isn't all that plywood heavy? I thought of a way to lighten the transport boxes the tankers use, and you could benefit from it too.

Use the ply for the outer edges only, and then put a...
