Default Re: JBC limited NZ

had some time for testing today due to bad weather.
need to swap out the tipper motor for a faster one, it lifts the load easily but too slow.

Smile Re: JBC limited NZ

well , its almost winter here in New Zealand and the outside digging is not so much fun, so another project I have wanted to build has been started.
A rock crusher.
I have made the crusher box out of 6mm steel and used a 10mm round bar drilled off set to make a cam, made a crusher plate and tested.
hooked up a battery drill and crushes a beer bottle cap no worries.
heavy duty springs at the bottom of the crushing plate give me a little movement and a bit of adjustment.
It will have its own tracked drive system but will have a generator ( battery box ) to power the two conveyors and the crusher motor.

I may need to use bigger flywheels but that will be an easy change. Once all functioning I will fire up the 3d printer and give it some detail, but the main concern will be function.
I will also make some new crushing plates out of stainless steel which should last longer.
Heres todays progress.

cheers andy
