My vote is for the grand hauler. As far as what trailer I don't know yet I started gathering stuff for an air ride spread running gear. I could put a lot of lights on a reefer but then again hauling stuff on a flatbed would be fun too

Your grand looks awesome! I'm just curious whats the purpose of moving the front axle forward? thanks

There really is no purpose other than I think it looks better. The stock truck kinda looks like it has a set back axle which I never cared for.

I've been trying to get a trailer put together and wanted to show everybody. I am starting with a flat bed as a donor. Then I had the guys at work shear me up some aluminum, 1/8 inch for the top and bottom and 20ga pre-painted white for the sides. I also got 8 of the little round magnet cups to use for my "air bags". Angle, channel, springs, and 6-32 machine screws all came from the hardware store.
First some mock-up pics to show what I'm going for. ![]() ![]() Here is all my pieces parts. ![]() ![]() ![]() This is the front. ![]() Here is the back with the D.O.T. bumper. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That's what I've got so far. I'm planning on getting some stainless for the front and the doors. I also was going to use black balloons to cover the springs so they look like air bags. Thanks, Mike |
