hmm there is an option that you can use use to learn buy a part to learn from so you have a hands on part or learning tool just like a school does and most of the other builders do how else does someone learn but by example :

Thanks for your replies, I do have a mill, lathe etc. and some experience using same. I was only looking for material, sizes etc.

Go to magomhrc.com and there you can get the dimensions of what they use. I have a Track loader from them. They sell cylinder parts. So you can build your own.
