Re: S&M construction open for bizz nizz!
Out of all the pics taken last weekend, this is one of my favourites.
But if you ask which is my absolute personal favorite? Has to be this one of Chris Silvers truck taken by Chris.....just something about this pic that i love.... It's only been 5 days since everyone left.... Already missing them all. I feel so alone, Back to a one horse town. |

Re: S&M construction open for bizz nizz!
Raining, non outdoor play type of day but that don't stop me from putting a few personal touches to my new dozer.
Seat and controls out of a hobby engine pos I bought a few years ago finally makes a contribution The dash board is en example of my hoarding. Way, way back as a teen I built 1:25 scale transports. Painted this dash and it was by far the best detail job I ever did so always kept it all these years although truck is long gone. Suddenly today, it serves a purpose of sorts Little paint here and there and voila! .... A French Canadian dozer! |

Re: S&M construction open for bizz nizz!
I'm not sure about the Peterbilt/Corvette dash but the whole dozer is defiantly looking rugged! Love the big stack and the worn paint. The cat decals were a big improvement. Have you thought about wire wheeling the tracks and blade?

Re: S&M construction open for bizz nizz!
Yes I was thinking about that Craig. I'm missing a couple grousers and the tracks could use a little freshen up. I don't want to do too much though because like you, I'm sold on the natural wear and tear look of it and the fact I hate painting it's all good.
The Pete dash is definitely not right but it looks better than nothing at all for now. Only installed with double sided tape so if and when I find or make something better it'll do for now. Oh, and someone asked how the lowboys did in the yard?.... There Was a few tricky spots and scrubbing could be heard every now and then but drivers adapt, learn the road and wasn't many other hang ups. |

Re: S&M construction open for bizz nizz!
After 3 years of work to create Foxville I can't believe I just put our house up on the market!
Not to worry, I haven't lost my mind, I see major potential in our new house in the country for a bigger and better layout. Oh, and the dream garage is a nice bonus too no more stairs! I'll be able to just drive them out of garage and on my way. The walls in the far left of this picture is the functional toilet and a 5 person sauna. |

Skies cleared and got the dozer out today! My mind is all caught up in new house plans but an hour with the dozer fixes that.

Re: S&M construction open for bizz nizz!
Nice Mario, and I'm sure you will make good use of the new spaces. You ahead of me, my functional touilet is a box of empty gator aid bottles and the sauna is the entire garage. Been hot around here and garage becomes the sauna!!! Looks like you will have the ground to make plenty of roads and a nice sized functioning quarry!!! Selling off the steel plant? Or just gonna move operations? Workforce is gonna be upset, as I don't see the local foxes making the move no worries, the country has a greater variety of skilled labor. .

Life took a big hair pin corner not long after the Foxville meet in August. Susan's dads health deteriorated and so it was a move and care for family situation. For the first time in 4yrs I find myself letting off the RC hobby throttle Her dad passed away Nov19th. Great guy and I miss him already he was also a part of the hobby. He travelled to Shipshewana and picked up the trailer Izzy built for Sue a few years ago. and so now we are moved into the family home but trying to fit the possessions of 2 homes into one, in the winter...... Too much chaos right now and I can't see any action on the S&M thread this winter.... Next spring I begin the build of " Brownsville " in honor of Susan's dad, Ray Brown. RIP |
