My only concern is my lack of experience tig welding thin to thick steel. If I was going to braze it I'll just tig it. Knowing my abilities I can mig weld thin stuff better than brazing or tigging. I'm even hesitant on soldering it. I just know from my past experiences (or lack of) even heating the thin gauge metal to solder I get some warping in sheet parts. I know it's just my lack of experience and I should devote a day or so to cooking some scrap pieces,,, I'm sure after I warp a few more critical parts I will probably do that !!!

And I've used heat absorbing material and heatsinks, just haven't done it enough???
