I don't have an answer for you. Your post did make me think of the huge write up on Lipos in the trucks though that Paul wrote, and that would be a good reference post here as well.

Hello Lynn ,
Don’t mess with it ! No need for it ! as long you just run a 2S Lipo ( 2 cell ) The Truck MFU ( as well the tank MFU’s ) shut down anyways when the voltage is to low ! Forgot what the actual cut-off voltage is , but it’s somewhere between the 5 volt and 6 volt under load , which is safe for the Lipo’s . A lot of us been running Lipo’s in there tanks in Danville without any Lipo-protection , and it works just fine . As soon your truck ( or tank ) starts to shut down , means your Lipo is down to the minimum charge Willy CustomRCmodels |
