Yes they are a nice lathe. Where I work still has one from when it opened in the 1930's. Simple design and quite sturdy.

How large are those tires? I like the look of the fronts. Do you have a better picture of the front rims? I'd like to see what you've done to make it look like the bolts are all in them. I haven't really figured out how to do that for my Euc.

The front rims are GREAT looking! Tell your dad to keep up the GREAT work. The lathe looks a lot like my SB also. Does it have bearings in the headstock or split brass bushings? Mine has bushings with oil cups on all bushings. Can be a real pain to keep lubed and not make a royal mess!!

the bolt patterns are just dimples with a center drill. Once the rims are painted they will look better.
The lathe is running in babbit bearings and makes a real mess when running for long periods.

Good to know, I think I will try that on my Euc. I'm going to have some Butler Bros Logging stickers made for the doors of my truck since they bought the real truck new and used it for road building. Hopefully sometime we can get these things together for a pic when their finished.
