Hi all, time for a up date finally the BB is fully wired and the spot lights are working, the aerial mounted, then the right hand battery box was swapped for another left hand one and is used for a auxiliary duracell 9 volt battery for the beacons and 2 switches in the rear tool box along with more wiring, then I had to re-build the front end replacing the shackles/ screws and front cross member and shocks (long story), mounted the BB Hooray took long enough.
Next was to swap the silver can tamiya motor for a carson truck puller motor to slow it down without putting a reduction box in her, retested everything so I can go the the next stage and that is lifting the floor about 12mm....

Cheers Tracy

Truck is looking good, Tracy, coming along nicely

The turnbuckle ends really set off the Bull bar, gonna be a nice rig when it's finished.

Very impressive, keep the pic's coming, Mate

Impressive lights on your bull bar there!

What did you use? 5mm leds or 1w /3w-leds?

The aerial looks a bit odd though.. What about a thinner antenna? ..out of 1mm spring steel or something similar..

Cheers

Pip

Hi pip, the aerial is a typical long range UHF CB Radio aerial that is common here in Aus

Also the LED's in the spots are the fog light LED's that come with the truck..

Hi,

thanks for the pic. I probably didn't make myself clear.. Sorry for that...

Position and size are ok.. I just thought the antenna to be a bit thick.. looks like 3-4mm.. a 1.5mm antenna would look better.

...but I see you actually have your receiver's antenna wire inside the tube, so forget about my comment. Well done!

Cheers

Pip

Hi all, with some help from from Tim and some head scratching and a few stuff ups with the RT mud guard and modifying a few things the back end is locked down for now until its time to paint the miscellaneous parts, the rear tow hitch is from 1800-tim (thanks mate),
"This isn't a perfect truck with nice straight panels everywhere it a honest working rig with some imperfections here and there.........."
