This is a VERY,VERY,VERY ROUGH 1st attempt at the headlamps.
I used a scrap block of acrylic, which is hard to work with.

Before the bashing on how this looks like crap (and it does) I only have 15 minutes of time in this ROUGH draft, and is nowhere near close to what I
hope to come up with.

Wow. I would be impressed if I could make something like that with my own hands in a mere 15 mins! Its already better then I ever imagined it could be. Nice work.

Looks great even at the prototype phase, nice grille too. Troy you are turning into an rc truck building machine! I can't keep up! This is what is great about the builds on this board, no two are alike, everyone puts in their own individual touches

I hope to get a chance to play tonight..........(my wife is making me pack)

I agree that you did a very good job on the lights (and on the grill...) , they look very realistics. Will you use them for the finished product or it's only a try in this material (acrylic)? Does it present some benefits opposed to styrene?
I'm very interested by these lights, it should be a great add-on for my own KH/Peterbilt too . I can't wait to see the final touch!

No I sure don't.....this grill was an experiment for another truck.
I was going to use aluminum for the louvers, but never got around to it.

The final product will be aluminum.......I just happen to have some acrylic blocks laying around.

I have to find a place to buy small blocks of aluminum so I can really get down to business.

I was doing a little more playing around, and think I have the size about right
