Default Re: paint flaking off after three months!

hi,

Have you used dupicolor before with good results? Me personaly, I'd use water based paints on plastic, sometimes solvents can be to harsh or dont agree with the plastic so it never truly 'bites' and it does come down to the quality of the paint itself. I've always finished with a solvent based 2 pac laquer. what did you use with the alchol to get the paint off?

Somtimes a white base coat can turn reds slightly pinkish. Are you working with spray cans? Either a silver base or the white but slightly tinted with the red so its turns pinkish, but obviously you would have to mix it in a cup, its best to try on a spare panel or something first.

Alcohol takes the paint off by it's self especially lacquer.
