If the motor is really small you can use the control board out of a busted servo. Thats how I control the lift motor on my forklift

I like the idea of using an old servo i've tried the motor with it and works fine with no load but not sure how it will work when its in the model with a load on it.

Is there a way to loose the potentiometer from the cicuit
