Nice start! I wondered what you were building that was so heavy! What are the rear diffs from?

It has 3 frame rails bent as c channel from 22 gauge galvinized stock. inside rails are one inside the other with 3rd rail outside. 1 inch tall by 1/4 inch wide.
Drive is Tamiya standard 3 speed then a split shaft pto 1:1 then an RC4WD R2 two speed. i like the speeds and torque is plenty. i have sheared two drive pins on test pushes so far. and had to switch from plastic to metel gears in the 1:1 motor combiner. Rear and front suspension are scratch built front leafs are from Tamiya F 350 rear leafs are scratch built. ![]()

Thanks, I want to build an 850 Kenworth but it will be 1/10 scale to match my other stuff so I may have to make my own diffs. It would be nice if I could find something large enough that worked though instead.
Keep the pictures coming! |
