Thor- they are 20rpm gear motors.
9W-Monighan- I am using a "regular size" torch (same one I use if I am doing plumbing) for the work. I'd love to get a resistance soldering unit though...just don't want to spend the money. Thanks to you both on the soldering, only other brass I have done is what is on this model. Does require two rare commodities though...time and patients! I don't have much of each in my opinion. Ben

Ben , your doing a fine job ,these models take a lot of time . I learned to go to another if I get frustrated on 1 thats why I have so many going
