From Flat Bed to Low Loader
Right now we have a seller in EBay who sells a kit that changes the Tamiya flat bed into a low loader.
Very nice parts, powder-coated but the folks buy that thing for more than 250.- Euros, that´s about $325.-!! My opinion, a little bit too much for five metalparts, so I started to use some of the original frame parts and built the low loader by myself. Here´s some pics: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...1050771v.jpg/][/IMG] I cut off the rear end of the frame, used some aluminium and lowered the trailer that way. [IMG][/IMG] The parts for the front-end had to be built completely from scratch: [IMG][/IMG]´ [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] So I build this trailer at a cost of $30.- for some Material instead of more than $300.-! Now I will add some details and that´s it!! |

THX guys!
Yeah, will put some planks on it, makes it look much better! @rcman: Just did the paintjob on the Scania, it was just blue before, a little bit boring, I thought.....! @dabears: yes, the kit is on EBay germany. Right now there´s an auction running until next sunday. |
