Looking good! The detail is great. I like how you put on the track bar and radius arms. Bolted them up, just like the 1:1 truck. What kind of servo are you going to end up using? Maybe a dual servo steering set-up is in order?

Thanks, I use a 645 in my Euc and it has no troubles. The linkage ratio's are almost the same on this so I think one of them will be fine.

I wasn't happy with the shape of the upper window area so I cut it out and made a new piece! There's also a few other little things but nothing really note worthy.
I'm not sure if I will put the visor on the finished model or not but I thought that I should make one just in case... Thanks for looking! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reg |

What a beautiful work! Your steering servo seems almost tiny for such a huge machine. Will you add a heavy duty servo?

I will be using a standard size high torque servo. This one is just being used for mock up.

The KW is looking great. The Bruder looks like a 1/32 scale model, sitting on the turntable! It must be nice working in 1/10. Machining small parts like these only gets harder, as you go smaller in scale. It'd be fun to build a big truck like this, but I'm not so good with body work. I don't think I'd be able to pull off a cab as nice as yours. For someone who doesn't think they know what they are doing, I'd say you're doing just fine.

She's a little plump but that's OK....
It has it's good points and bad points building in this scale. It is nicer to make the parts as they are a lot bigger BUT you have to make everything! There's no going online or to the hobby shop for a set of diffs or a scale set of tires that's for sure. I enjoy the challenge though... I really don't know what I'm doing but I am getting better at making it up as I go along ![]() Reg |

I guess! I just figured out that the frame is 2 1/2 inches too short in the middle! I guess I will be practicing with my grinding skills once again! Thats what happens when you start building off of drawings that aren't accurate before you get solid dimensions!

Since I figured out the truck was too short I had no other option but to cut it in half and weld in a piece. Thanks to my half-*** welding skills and my "superb" grinding ability(
