Ken, the updates are looking great! I was hoping this project didn't get lost. Wow, that chassis looks really scale, and perfect. The cab is well on it's way too. You are very talented with the mill and lathe! I love watching scratchbuilds like this take shape. Please keep the updates coming.

Woohoo! I was wondering what was happening with this! Great job! I'm so happy to see some updates.
Where did you get the material for your leafs? I'm not sure what to use on my 850 build. I used bundle strapping on my Euc but it is so thin that it would take about 30 lefs to get the thickness right. Yours look bang on for the real deal! Reg |

RCP57, the rear leaves are from banding material. Yes, individual leafs are not scale thickness - I made the total stack height correct by using a thicker spacer between mains and helpers. The fronts are a combination of banding material (the two longest leaves) and pieces from Tamiya truck springs that I separated and cut to length. Some leaves were straightened out - unrolled the eyes - to get the needed length. I'll have to wait on the final configuration, though. If the springs are too light when loaded, I'll be adding coils inside the shocks to assist. Worst case, I'll add additional leaves to up the spring rate.
