yes the tracks are very weak . I'm in the design stage of an undercarriage for member here . It's not going to be easy you need to rebuild the entire bottom . there's a guy who did 1 in germany ? and that is exactly what he did .

If you have time, would you post a couple of pictures of the tracks on this thread for me to see.
What about cutting the bottom side of the treads off flat and then attaching them to a roller chain like others use for the tracked equipment?
