I noticed that now Fank decided on metal tracks for the komatsu. The model looks beautiful and I wondering what kind drive system he put on it. Would be nice see it with some hydraulic motors.

So he is using the same setup as the Vario then except with brushless motors instead? Gonna be smooth like butter.

Are the boom and stick really made out of plastic?

You sure? The 850 arms are resin shells but have an internal steel skeleton. I would assume he used the same process on this model.

I'm not sure if the boom/stick on this 490 is made the same way as the Vario excavator with any steel skeleton, I put the arms to a magnet & didn't feel any draw... plus the arms feel extremely light weight.
