Default Re: New Models from THS-Modell

Volvo had the THS´s models on display in their store at the Bauma exhibition last week.

They also displayed the A40F I spoke to Mr. Seipt (the "S" in "THS") at the Dortmund model show the week before, and as far as I remember the A40D is planned for 2015 (or was it 2014? In any case, it sounded like an awful long time). The EC480DL was said to weigh in at 15 kg.

I want one of each! Wow, those are so sharp, but if I could only have one, I'd take the wheel loader!

Well it's official... I'm never scratch building anymore Volvo's. No way to compete with the looks of those pieces. I am surprised that the excavator is only 33 pounds though.

Stefan, that is some truly stunning pictures - well done and thanks for putting them on here.

I have some updated delivery dates from Hendrik.

Excavator - December 2013
Wheel Loader - June 2014
Dumper - End of 2014

So yes a long way off... but at least they are coming..

I had a drive of these machines at Dortmund and they seem to be more powerful than the others available but they are running more preasure. The dumper was also a nice model and yes the price was 7200 euros

Does anyone have a web-site/link to the Manufacturer? I'm interested if they are taking pre-orders. I've really set my eye on that loader. It's like a piece of functional art! Now I just have to convince my better half ><

OMG that A40D is amazing looking. I kept toying with the Idea of ordering a
B35 but thank god I didn't. I have something big coming so the timing might work out just right to order this beast when it's out for sale.

Looks like very high end models The weight of 15 kgs (33 lbs) is the scale correct weight of the Volvo 480 in 1:14.5 ( 48.000 kg / 14.5*14.5*14.5)

Well after a very long wait and even longer drive from England to THS ( 1600 mile round trip ) I am now the proud owner of the New Volvo excavator.

Would like to say a very special thanks to the guys for working late into the evening and for finishing the machine off so I could collect before Christmas.

Empty Channel tunnel

Some pictures of the Hendrik and Michael working on it while we drove through the night

And finally the machine!

Incredible! The excavator is so life like. Even the Volvo name is cast into the buckets. This has to be the most realistic looking machine out there right now. I even noticed they had a scale (dummy) valve block cast and installed the proper place. That's detail!

I know the detail is amazing, also a lot has been added since I saw the first prototype. Another even small detail is the volvo logo on the bucket teeth!

Wow congratulations Elliot !! I saw your videos but didn't connect the dots. Very cool and solid machine for sure. Are the other models available for sale yet? Mainly the ADT.
