Axles are made of wood with holes cut to gear motor diameter, motors are wrapped once round with electrical tape and it holds them in solid(had to hammer them back out), this gives me clearance on the chassis allowing maximum articulation, i used wood because a piece of aluminium the same size was expensive and im not confident i would machine it right first time. Got this idea from rc_farmer who built a grader with wooden bogie axles.
Hoping for a test run this weekend if i get time to solder the motors up, was hoping to make electric steering but with 8 wheels there is maybe to much drag for a servo so i think it will steer with hydraulics.
