I really try to refrain from cutting down axles... just not a fan of it.
Lets see how yours goes! and the real trucks, the oilfield guys have them here and sadly nothing but troubles with the drivetrain. not sure why but they are phasing them out.

my cut down axle should work like a charm. granted, i am not a fan of cutting them, either. but no one happens to make an axle the size i needed.
