Re: 990 cat loader
Got tired of moving bucket parts around a few pics and a comparison 1 behind a knight day cab on a king frame . I don't drink sada so no soda cans . the axles will be changed just not to sure which way I want to go yet . With the mack axle turning out to be a success I'm leaning that way ,depends on the maching time . a 4th axis on the mill would be great but I don't have 1 yet so I got to figure how in 3 axis , no big deal just more setup time

Re: 990 cat loader
Wow, that's a nice looking loader. You sure have some talent at building. Did you ever get your hydaulic pump going or are you building another one? Will you buy or make cylinders? I think you said on your Mack, another great project, that your cylinders did not work out. Did you ever think about just buying a longer air cylinder, cut it to length and then make new ends. That way you get a finished bore and rod assembly that you know will work. You would only need seals and bushing for the rod end.

Re: 990 cat loader
Rich , I had trouble on the tele cylinders for the mack only do to not enough time on them (rushing ) what I have now acctually works better anyways . I'll be making these ( walk in the park ) I even found actual wiper seals that'll work for the size . I have a couple pumps from index to play around with . 2 have motors on them . the problem with these is the magnetic coupling which is no problem to change (again , lathe time the mill always is ready for more work for some reason ) ) I still have a sickle set of gears like what the jung pump uses , that I need to make a housing for .

Re: 990 cat loader

Re: 990 cat loader
Joe , 3.3 :1 in the axles 2:1 in the drop box powered by 24v 2 speed dewalthammer/drill motor on 12V . I had an 18volt on it in the test vid . For me , I'm using what I have . I think It'll perform very well .
