Kennecott Copper Landslide
I Saw this one last night, happened earlier this week. I don't have a clue on how many cubic yard's or meter's that slide is, just "Freakin Big"

Wow that sucks! Was anyone killed?(Hope not). Looks like some equipment got buried alive for sure.

Wow...
They anticipated the slide, and moved men, buildiungs, and equipment... Thats what seismic sensors are great for. A few little 'slips' before it lets go, and you evac 'just in case' and you save lives and equipment. Only thing better than before-after shots would have been some security/monitoring camera videos... watching a slide like that in motion... wow. Glad no-one was lost. But expect copper prices to go up for the next little while guys... WhiteWolf |
