Default Custom Peterbilt 359

OK this is my fist build and I got a Tamiya king hauler that I am making a pet 359 so I cut the head lights out and filled them so I could put some Peterbilt lights on it to give it a good look I also bought a lot of stuff from garden trucking.com.

Here is the list of stuff I got
4 inch frame extension
bull pipes
square headlights
Texas square bumper blank
pair of cb atena
2 piece drive shaft with center bearing
pair of black Peterbilt mud flaps
3 Peterbilt emblems

then the rest of the stuff i bought from other places
30 bearings
Futaba 4 channel radio
Tamiya ESC
Tamiya primer and paint

I will post some pic later when I find out how to put them in

Thumbs up Re: Custom Peterbilt 359

She looks great. I know that you'll probably do some minor detail work to finish her out, there's always something to critique.

Are you going to start modifying the trailer? Are you going to make a spread-axle and add a tool box? What about the head-board?

Hi. I am also working on my first king hauler build. I think it looks fantastic man. I don't see anything to critique. I like all the trucks on this forum. I think we all bring something to the table with our trucks. I will say you need to stain those boards on the trailer. Lol It will definately make it pop then.

I built my own flatbed out of aluminum stock and used the tamiya axels and rear bumper. Was pretty easy. A step deck will be a little harder to build and you will need low pro tires...

Alright small update I finally got my trailer stained and got done with the paint and I went to hobby lobby and I got some cheap clear coat and it didn't mix with the paint and it bubbled and made it looks horrible
So i can change the color but I don't know what color to go with. The reason I went with the champagne gold and burgundy was it looked old school and I haven't seen it on any of the RC trucks so I need some help do I stay the same color or go with a different color?

Here is a few pics of the trailer with the stain I went with

Alright I didn't get much done with the truck or the trailer but I did get to go to the Bandimere speedway to go to the truck fest and there were some semi trucks there so I took some pics and some videos of the big rig drag race.

The truck on the right and the left are both numbered trucks the right one is 102 of 359 and the left one is 116 of 359 the center one is a 1985 359 there was a day cab 359 too but my phone couldn't get all four.

Here is all of the drag race photos I have

here was one of the coolest trucks there!!!
