Peterbilt 281
Hello all,
i have started to build an american style truck and it can only be an Oldtimer. Therefore i have choiced a truck from the 50ies, Peterbilt 281, the same i have watched in the movie Duel. Components are 2 old driven axles from Wedico, front axle from Robbe and gearbox from Veroma. The other parts will be selfmade. Very cool....I like how you are Building your own leaf springs....can you give me some details...I would like to make my own for my trucks as the stock springs are very soft....

i have found a pic and i think this must be from the real truck (damaged at the end of movie), in difference to the survived truck, the stairs has the same width like the fenders and the upper side of the frame behind the cab is closed Pete-281-885.jpg
