Thanks Rob. I think it is lifting very well now. I tried one more test using 7.2V just to see if it would still lift the same weight. It does it without a wimper! Of course the speed is much slower but that may be a decent compromise over running a dedicated battery for the trailer itself.

Well I spent a few hours welding things together on this one today. I still have to finish the front part of the fenders and some welding here and there but the tub is nearly finished
 .

Glad you like it Alex. I think I have the tub almost finished now unless you have any other ideas? I thought I would take a picture of the two side by side to show the style differences. I know a few people have been interested in this style of trailer so I am trying to get myself set up to take some orders soon....
