Judging by the tire height this 1:1 trailer must be between 5'-6'?

Reg do you think you can finish the top of the trailer like this ? Most dump trailers around here are used during winter for snow removal

With a board on top? Yes I can. That's how Benny's was finished. That will make this one really tall though. Is that OK or should I shorten the panels a bit? They are 5" outside, 4 1/2" inside as they sit now. A board would add at least 1/2" more.

Yeah maybe take a tad off the walls so it doesn't look too tall with the board on top.

OK so a few weeks have gone by with other projects finally seeing completion but this one has been falling short on the love meter. In an effort to keep a promise I made to have this ready by spring I need to get back on track and focus! Stupid groundhog calling for an early spring
....![]() Anyway, when the request was made to add boards on the top rails that meant I needed to either trim the pieces down I had already made on make new. I opted to make new parts and save the others for a future build. The new pieces are 5/8" lower than before so that when the board is installed we will end up with the same height as the first setup. Here's what I got done today. Not a lot but it's a start. ![]()
