Welcome becky-boo, in regards to your first problem, the small control panel that you mount to the side of the truck has a button of it that if u press will change the settings of your marker lights so that the change depending on the gear your in. I can't remember exactly which button it is sorry, but its one of the three.

i tried the switch to change how it operates its either all on or none but many thanks for replying the light issue small problem its the constant turning off and on thats very frustrating
