Speaking of Chinese manufacturers. A company called Hercules Hobby released a version of the MBz Actros for $200 US. The model was similar to the Tamiya except for the MBz logos on the truck. At Asiatees You can purchase Hecules trailers and container kits for about $200-300 US.

Hercules have been on the marked guess 3-4 years now. I did also think that here comes some real competition for Tamiya. But have not happened. Even the lower pricing, they not been a serious threath, around here in northern Europe at least. Finishing of parts are okay, similar to Tamiya, but not that snugg fit. People still prefere the Tamiya Mercedes's. They have a short 2 axle trailer on the marked, for a 20' container. So short, looks comic) Maybe they improve and step it up in the future, come up with their own designs

Heng long and Hercules Hobby were cloning Tamiya products, I don't consider that competition. It is good to see Heng Long producing their own product now though.
