			with the gear box that only gets on gear. I had the same problem. Ended up fully rebuilding the gear box. I had one selector around the wrong way. There is a good video up on youtube showing how the gearbox works. Great for comparing your gearbox to the one that doesnt work. 			Im running a rc4wd distrouter trans in my king and i had 14 house bricks smashing it forward and backward and the trans is getting quiter. Its plenty slow and with a 55t has tonnes of pulling power

			The only thing I don't care for on the Tamiya transmissions is all the backlash they have.  Necessary for the dogs to engage the gears.

			They're not TOO bad, having run it for a while, I just needed to vent, since I'd been fighting with it for hours, and having it working perfectly, till I put the truck together and got it on the road, then it stopped working. 
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
	
	I actually think it's kinda cool...but I'm sure there's a more reliable (or precise) way they could've made it's shift mechanism work. Lol  |
