here is updated pics of the tractor optimus.extended the chassis 3" to accomodate the storage boxes and the reefer unit for the turning radius of the trailer

here are the rear fenders finished with the detail work incuding the ridge that follows the lines of the fender

here are the rear doors for the transformers reefer trailer.i wanted the small square angled tile look for the rear doors that you normally see on the trailers so i used evergreen styrene to get that look now i just need to chrome them

not sure whether to use bare metal foil or go for that chroming paint i saw in another section on here.there is a shop close to me that does it apparently its a 3 step process and they can chrome anything from wood to plastic to metal etc

who are these people you speak of? I could put them to work for a week solid I would say send them atest piece, see how it turns out. if it works, chrome'em!

finally got the trailer to where i like it i will be posting pics shortlyand hopefully in the next few weeks will have the paint on the optimus cab still waiting for 2 more goodies to come in the mail..i am still building this guys and gals.thank you for your patience

absolutely jack i will take you up on that invitationand bricknick thanks for the kind words and i am excited as all of you too it has been a loooooong slow process but being a trucker with the hours i work its tough sometimes .shawn ...absolutely we will need to get pictures with your truck also..if the weather holds up this year i will bring it to the burlington santa claus parade this year...if we are doing it again..there will be 2 surprises with this one.....
