To oval PVC pipe you can warm it in an oven, press it to desired shape while it cools and sets. I haven't done it yet for modelling but did use it for many purposes when younger and farming. Low tech and cheep to try.

I use Locktite Stik'n Seal contact adhesive in a tube with outstanding results.
