power for tipper trailer
Hi guys. What is an efficient way to supply power to a tripper trailer? I am using a nihm battery in the cab to control the lights and motor, but need a neat way of getting power to the screw driven tipper motor. Any suggestons would be a big help. Thanks fellas.

Re: power for tipper trailer
With my 1/4 frame end dump I located a battery and speed controller in the trailers frame near the trailer tires. Then run a servo harnes to the nose of the trailer to allow me to plug in to the trucks reciver.

Re: power for tipper trailer
mine is being wired like the full size black wire to look like the hydraulic
line. red will tuck under the deck and pop up near the trailer and the small lines for the esc will look like tarp, gate, lock wires |

Re: power for tipper trailer
I have a tri axle end dump trailer with screw drive. All electronics and battery fit between the rails in front of the screw drive mechanism. Had enough room to fit a 3s Lipo.
All 5 of my trailers are self powered using Lipos or NMIH batteries to run lights and motorized legs, etc. If space is an issue, you could always make a false bottom for the dump box and put everything in there? |
