Have you checked out SMC? I think the push locks are physically larger than barb fittings with a sleeve. A lot of guys here use barb fittings, although in metric.

I've had good luck with a butane torch, flux and solder. Usually plain electrical solder, but sometimes silver solder. Brass and thin steel only.

For the models which require several electrical devices (drive esc, external bec, alternate esc, light module, etc.) how do you go about connecting all theses to the single on board battery....
